📌 Job Summary
RRC North Central Railway is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment against the Cultural Quota 2026–27.
The vacancies are available for candidates with recognized qualifications and demonstrated ability in the specified cultural streams. Selected candidates will be appointed to suitable Level-2 posts in North Central Railway according to administrative requirements.

🎓 Educational Qualification
Candidates should have:
- 12th / Intermediate or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board/University; OR
- Matriculation + ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
The 50% requirement is relaxed for SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD candidates, and candidates possessing higher qualifications such as graduation or post-graduation.
Candidates must also possess a degree, diploma, or certificate in the specified cultural stream from a Government-recognized institution.
🎼 Cultural Qualification
Applicants must have the required recognized cultural qualification relevant to the stream for which they are applying.
Additional desirable credentials include:
✔ Experience in the relevant cultural field
✔ Performances on AIR / Doordarshan or similar platforms
✔ Prizes or awards won at the National level
🎯 Age Limit
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 30 Years
Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2027.
Candidates must have been born not earlier than 01 January 1997 and not later than 01 January 2009. Applicable age relaxation will be provided according to Railway recruitment rules.
💰 Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed in Pay Matrix Level-2 under the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Pay Level: Level-2
Grade Pay: ₹1,900/-
The initial appointment will carry the minimum pay of the applicable Level along with other admissible allowances.
📝 Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
1. Written Test – 50 Marks
The examination will contain 50 objective-type questions covering areas such as:
- General Awareness
- Mathematics
- General Intelligence
- Reasoning
- General Knowledge
- Knowledge related to cultural activities/cultural field
Duration: 60 minutes
Language: Hindi & English
Negative Marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
2. Talent Assessment – 50 Marks
Candidates qualifying in the written examination will be assessed through:
- Practical Demonstration: 35 Marks
- Testimonials / Prizes etc.: 15 Marks
Total Selection Marks: 100
💳 Application Fee
General / Other Candidates: ₹500/-
Candidates who actually appear in the written examination will receive a refund of ₹400, subject to applicable bank charges.
SC/ST / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD / Transgender / Female / Minority / Economically Backward Class: ₹250/-
Eligible candidates in these categories who appear in the written examination can receive a refund of the applicable fee, subject to bank charges.
